I am the mother of a twelve-year-old daughter.  So far, I think we have been lucky.  She’s an only child and we have had a close relationship for a long time.  We do a lot together, particularly since I am also her Girl Scout leader.  All of the girls in the troop are entering their pre-teen years and life is starting to get interesting.  I see both the girls and the moms struggling with how to handle the changes.  I am soooo not a counselor.  But a read a lot and I search the internet to get advice.   I think of it as preparation to handle 10 plus girls who are all about to go (or going) insane with hormones.  I think we moms just need to band together better and support each other through this.  So… here I go.
